Volunteer opportunities available now

Altar Server

Altar servers play a vital role in assisting the priest and deacon during Holy Mass and special occasions. Their duties include carrying the processional cross and candles, presenting the bread, wine, and water, and assisting with various tasks such as holding the missal and removing items from the altar during communion. Boys and girls from year 5 and up, who have received their First Holy Communion and demonstrate maturity and reverence, can serve as altar servers.

Greeter

At the entrance of the church, our warm-hearted volunteers extend a heartfelt welcome to all. They graciously provide assistance to new parishioners or visitors, guiding them to explore our parish bulletin or website for more information.

Sacristan

A Sacristan holds a revered position in the Catholic Church, entrusted with the upkeep of the House of the Lord, meticulously caring of the sacristy. This includes the solemn responsibility of tending to sacred vessels, vestments, liturgical books, altars, lights, and other essential items for worship services. Beyond mere preparation, the Sacristan's reverent and prayerful dedication serves as a poignant reminder to the entire assembly to ready their hearts for worship.

Collector

A money basket collector at Mass or service holds a significant role in gathering financial offerings from the congregation. Throughout the religious service, these collectors pass the baskets from one congregant to another with care and reverence. The offerings collected are faithfully delivered to the priest at the Altar, embodying our commitment to supporting those in need.

Mass Manager

The Mass Manager oversees the organization of Mass services by creating monthly rosters, reaching out to servers and volunteers, and ensuring a seamless flow of the Mass. They collaborate closely with priests to coordinate all aspects of the service.

Usher

Our diligent ushers assist in seating attendees, ensuring a smooth flow as everyone settles in comfortably. They also maintain clear emergency exits, ready to guide individuals swiftly and calmly in case of any unforeseen situations.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Lay parishioners, commissioned for a three-year term, play a crucial role in distributing Holy Communion during Mass. It's expected that they undergo periodic spiritual, theological, and practical formation to carry out this duty with a deep understanding and reverence for the Eucharist. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be fully initiated Catholics in good standing.  If married, volunteers must be in a valid marriage in the Catholic Church.

Reader

The role of a Mass Reader involves sharing the readings from Sacred Scripture, except for the Gospel, and leading the Prayers of the Faithful. Readers are asked to serve a minimum of once a month, undergo onboarding training, and engage in periodic formation sessions.
